Bench Grinder and Buffer Shields
Polycarbonate wheel shields for 6", 8", and 10" grinders, buffers, and drum sanders
Bench grinder and buffer shields guard the operator's eyes, face, and body from sparks, flying debris, and wheel fragments at the point of operation. Each pair consists of 1/4" polycarbonate panels mounted on powder-coated aluminum posts with slotted base plates that fit most bench, pedestal, and workbench-mounted grinders. Four configurations cover 6–8" and 10" wheel diameters in 6" or 9" shield widths.

- 1/4" thick polycarbonate (Lexan) shields maintain full visibility of the work while blocking debris and fragments
- 3/8" thick aluminum mounting plates, slotted to accommodate a wide range of grinder pedestal bolt patterns, including Baldor
- Three height adjustment holes per post for correct shield positioning relative to the wheel
- 16" posts on SG-2 / SG-2L; 22" posts on SG-3 / SG-3L
- Industrial aluminum extrusion frame, powder-coated safety orange for visibility on the shop floor
- Mounts to pedestal, table, or workbench
- Sold as a complete left/right pair; single-side orders available on request
- Replacement shields stocked; custom shield sizes available

Mounting and Adjustment
Slotted base plates bolt to the grinder pedestal, table, or workbench. Three height adjustment holes per post allow the shield to be set at the proper working height for the wheel diameter in use.
Shields should be positioned so the operator's line of sight to the work passes through the polycarbonate.
