How do I know if my machine needs guarding?

Any machine with moving parts, sharp edges, pinch points, or areas where a person can be caught, cut, or crushed requires guarding. OSHA mandates that employers evaluate all machines for guarding needs. 

If your facility hasn’t conducted a machine risk assessment or has older equipment, it’s likely that upgrades are needed.
