Die blocks, also known as safety blocks, are high-strength mechanical props placed between the press ram and bolster to prevent accidental closure during maintenance, cleaning, or die changes. Made from steel or aluminum with high load ratings, safety blocks physically support the press to eliminate crush hazards during lockout/tagout procedures.
