- Our experienced machine guarding contractors understand the need for PPE and are prepared to follow all safety standards to ensure a safe work environment when installing machine guarding systems in any industrial facility.
- LOTO (lockout/tagout) policies, OSHA logs, use of GFCI plugs and auto-retracting knives
- All required PPE requirements to include safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel-toe boots or shoes including metatarsal covers if required at minimum
- Plus any customer-specific policies and government rulings such as hard hats or bump caps, hi-vis vests or shirts, hair net, beard net, smocks or gowns, face shields, masks, respirators, cut gloves, sleeves, fall protection systems, welding masks and jackets, no jewelry, and sanitize hands and boots.
- If doing electrical work, additional PPE may be required such as grounding straps, insulating gloves and sleeves, and arc flash or flame-resistant clothing.

The process begins with a scheduled on-site visit, during which a comprehensive review of the facility's safety measures is conducted. The team engages in discussions with maintenance, safety, and operators to understand safety goals and minimize impacts on production. Together, they explore machine setup, operation, and adjustments, identifying necessary machine guarding upgrades. PowerSafe Engineers then take over, documenting and conceptualizing safety improvements, creating 3D CAD models and presentations. A proposed guarding package with a quote for materials, installation, and integration is provided, followed by a Teams meeting to discuss designs and execution timelines.
The collaborative approach aims to implement best practice solutions for enhanced safety, with a focus on minimizing disruptions to production processes.
