 Automated Test Fixturing: quality products are a priority for reputable companies. Our customer needed a modular test fixture to test the travel and load rating of an electric motor used for automatic doors. We designed and built a set of fixtures that index 90 degrees at a time to test in real position using a potentiometer and a load cell to captured the ratings. Then displayed on a set of process meters in inches and lbs showing continual repeatability.

Customer expanding it's capabilities, they needed to replicate an existing production line. We teamed up with the company installing the equipment. While they installed the equipment, based on the customer SOP we built the new control panel with all the necessary safety controllers, PLCs, HMI, etc... along with the e-safety devices for all access panels. After the machine was installed, we integrated and programmed the safety system.

A local water treatment plant needed to update their sewer substation. We designed and built a new control panel with all the necessary components to achieve their goals of an improved process. We used a stainless steel enclosure due to the environment and included a siren and light for easy notification.

Customer needed a control panel built, so they provided a “build to print” schematic for a control panel to PowerSafe Automation. The panel included relays,PLC, switches, and an operator interface/HMI. PowerSafe Automation ordered all parts needed including the Hoffman control panel, din rails, and all necessary wiring and accessories. PowerSafe Automation built the machine control panel and installed the unit per the customer specifications. 

Aug 2017 in Wolcottville, IN

Custom used an old press to produce a standard product. They were looking to make it safer., but was all mechanical. We designed a system to use a cylinder to actuate the cycle of the press. We installed air operated dual palm buttons that cycled the machine, but stopped the revolution as soon as the operator removed their hands from the buttons.

Customer was having issues with their rotary fixture table indexing properly from operator to robot. They had us design a new fixture station, which ended up being a slide shuttle. The shuttle used a rodless cylinder and precision bearings mounted on a T-Slotted Extrusion table. This was a quicker and more accurate system.

With proper machine guarding installed around their CNC bedmill, they were not able to watch the machining operations. We designed a camera mount using a rigid T-Slotted Extrusion as a mounting surface. Then added 2 rodless cylinders with custom camera carraiges. This allowed them to mount their cameras and slide them back and forth by control of a valve in any position needed to view the operations.

Due to a change in a process, the customer needed an upgrade to their control panel and programming. We received the SOP and their current panel. We made the necessary upgrades and assisted with the integration back into their machine.
